These students are using their graphic design skills in real world projects for Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy. It’s that time of year again. The 2023 CASA Prom is this weekend and the 2023 CASA Yearbooks will be available soon.

Aubree, a freshman in the Advanced Technologies Academy, designed the 2023 CASA Prom ticket. In the Introduction to Digital Media class, students learn how to use Adobe Photoshop. One of the projects in the class was to design a prom ticket using the element and principles of design. The students anonymously submitted their prom ticket designs to the CASA Prom Committee. The committee then chose the prom ticket design they wanted to use for the 2023 CASA Prom. The students enjoyed having the opportunity to create a project that would be used for a school event.

Melanie, a senior in the Advanced Technologies Academy, designed the 2023 CASA Yearbook cover. She accepted this project in-addition to her regular school responsibilities. Melanie was excited to have the opportunity to create a project that her fellow classmates will keep for years to come. The retro yearbook cover design is her original artwork drawn on a Wacom Cintiq. She has been an extraordinary role model for her academy classmates. Melanie has a desire to produce quality work and takes the time necessary to create something she can be proud of.
