On April 22, the SkillsUSA chapter at Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy organized a successful fundraising event titled “Faculty Freeze.” Students were given the opportunity to purchase buckets filled with ice water for $5.00 each. The proceeds from this initiative will contribute towards the expenses associated with the chapter’s forthcoming trip to the SkillsUSA National Conferences in Atlanta, GA.
Participants had the choice to either directly douse a teacher of their preference with the chilled water or to remain anonymous. Despite the inherent comedic nature of the event, the faculty members displayed admirable sportsmanship and maintained a positive attitude throughout. The students derived a considerable amount of enjoyment from this lighthearted activity.
The “Faculty Freeze” event served the dual purpose of facilitating an entertaining experience for the students while simultaneously raising funds in support of their educational endeavors. The SkillsUSA chapter’s resourcefulness in conceiving and executing this creative fundraiser is noteworthy.
